Sure, I'm more than happy to help! You're so right about people making the suggestions about eating McDonalds. What's the point of reaching your weight gain goal if you've done unrepairable damage to your body in the process?

I'll list some good lean proteins, complex carbs, and good fats.

Lean proteins:
extra lean beef
chicken
turkey
tuna
most any non fatty fish
egg whites
low fat cottage cheese
whey protein powder
soy powders

Complex carbs:
Whole wheat breads
barley
brown rice
oatmeal
cream of wheat
sweet potatos
white potatos
Some whole grain cereals (some are full of way too many additives)

Good fats:
Nuts (dry roasted)
Natural nut butters
Egg yolks (1-2 would count as an adequate serving of good fats)
avocado
olives
olive oil
flax oil
fish oil

*Fatty fish like salmon and soy products like tofu or soy milk count both as a protein and a good fat.

Best to eat a large serving a lean protein, a large serving of complex carbs and a small serving of good fats at each meal, but the fat can be left out if necessary.
